All dramaturgical services provided evaluate the use of the elements of dramatic structure in your play. Proofreading and editing suggestions will be made accordingly.
I consider One-Acts plays of up to 70 pages. Full-lengths are 70+ pages.
Plays that are conceived of as suitable in quality and content will be recommended to First Stage Theatre* in Hollywood for consideration for a staged reading or any of their ongoing events!
*First Stage Theatre is a separate entity that makes the final decision on works staged at their venue. By passing on your work, I simply recommend it, without providing any guarantee as to its acceptance or the conditions thereof.
FIRST-LOOK ANALYSIS
1,000 words minimum for full-lengths, 500 words minimum for one-acts analyzing your play according to the elements of dramatic structure, pointing out strengths and areas in need of improvement.

BASIC PACKAGE
2,500 words minimum for full-lengths, 1,000 words minimum for one-acts analyzing your play according to the elements of dramatic structure, pointing out strengths and areas in need of improvement.
Basic editorial and formatting suggestions, including stage-ability and marketability.

Full-Length $200 (+ $2 per page at 120+ pages)
One-Act up to 35 pages $75
One-Act up to 70 pages $120
IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS
4,500 words minimum for full-lengths, 2,000 words minimum for one-acts, closely examining your play according to the elements of dramatic structure, pointing out strengths and areas in need of improvement.
In-depth editorial and formatting suggestions, including grammar, word usage, stage-ability and marketability.
If applicable, reading suggestions for plays or other dramatic work, or sections thereof, will be provided with explanations as to their relevance for your work.
Play will be returned to you with handwritten notes in the margin.

One-Act up to 35 pages $150

LINE-BY-LINE PROOFREAD
A line-by-line proofread offers a comprehensive line-by-line editorial look at your play, including formatting, word usage, quality of dialogue, grammar, and voice, as well as general comments with regards to content and overall use of structure.
There will be no separate written analysis. Suggestions will be written by hand in the margins of your play.
Please include 2 copies of your work. Both will be mailed back to you.

ONGOING ANALYSIS
We all overlook mistakes, but agents, producers, and literary managers don’t credit our potential. They judge what’s on the page, and if your work’s quality isn’t up to industry standards, it will more likely than not end up in someone’s trash bin.
If you’re looking for an outside voice to guide you through your process of writing and reshaping your play until it's at its best, Ongoing Analysis is the right option for you.
1. Start off the with the BASIC PACKAGE -
-$200 for Full-Lengths (+ $2 per page at 120+ pages)
-$75 for One-Acts up to 35 pages
-$120 for One-Acts up to 70 pages
2. Hand in your rewrite. You may choose from one of two options
Basic Option: You mail in each revision, either sections or the entire play, once it’s finished and receive a one-time analysis, pointing out strengths and areas in need of improvement.
Fee: $1 per revised page
Ongoing Option: You mail or email me revised sections of your work, or sections you are planning to revise. We will engage in an ongoing email exchange during which I will guide you through the process of reshaping your play.
Fee: $1.50 per revised page

PHONE CONSULTATION
Talk about your material, ideas, and questions at any given point - while you’re in the middle of writing, before you’ve even begun, or after you’ve finished.
Consultations will be charged in ten-minute increments.
Fee: $10 per ten-minute increment*
*If we talk less than a full ten-minutes, you will still be charged for a ten minute increment. Content of consultations is strictly limited to questions regarding elements of story. No inquires about industry contacts, please.
